2012 Diane Willis Award Outstanding JPP Article


The winning article is “Comparison of a Family- Based Group Intervention for Youths with Obesity to a Brief Individual Family Intervention: A Practical Clinical Trial of Positively Fit.”

The Diane Willis Award for Outstanding Article in the Journal of Pediatric Psychology honors Diane J. Willis, who served SPP as president and founding editor of the Journal of Pediatric Psychology and the SPP Newsletter.
 
JPP articles are selected based on contribution and value to the field of pediatric psychology, demonstrating innovation and excellence in methodology and design, and providing an exemplar for others to model.
 
Ric Steele, Brandon, Aylward, Chad Jensen, Christopher Cushing, Ann David, and James Bovaird authored this year’s winning article titled, “Comparison of a Family- Based Group Intervention for Youths with Obesity to a Brief Individual Family Intervention: A Practical Clinical Trial of Positively Fit.” Access the article in JPP’s January/February 2012 issue.
