Graduate Student Spotlight Award winner — Summer 2015
Congratulations to Andrea Wojtowicz.

Andrea WojtowiczAndrea Wojtowicz is a fourth-year graduate student at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (RFUMS) under the mentorship of Rachel Neff Greenley, PhD. Prior to graduate school, Wojtowicz was the research coordinator at the Cleveland Clinic Pediatric Pain Rehabilitation Program under the mentorship of Gerard Banez, PhD.
Wojtowicz’s research focuses on understanding the contribution of pain to disease burden and psychosocial outcomes in youth with chronic medical conditions. She has received numerous awards for her academic and research accomplishments, including the Society of Pediatric Psychology (SPP) Travel Award, the RFUMS Excellence in Research Award and the RFUMS Presidential Scholarship. Wojtowicz has also served the pediatric psychology community as an active member of the SPP Student Advisory Board and the student clinical representative for the SPP Pediatric Gastroenterology Special Interest Group.
Wojtowicz is recognized as an outstanding student who has made contributions to the field of pediatric psychology through research, clinical work and service. She has presented her research at national and local conferences and has collaborated on several published manuscripts. Clinically, she has gained experience with a number of pediatric populations in medical settings with various sociodemographic backgrounds.
In the future, Wojtowicz hopes to pursue a career at an academic medical center integrating research and clinical work.
