Clinical Practice in Pediatric Psychology has a New Partnership with Sage Publications
After 12 years of being produced by APA Publishing, the Clinical Practice in Pediatric Psychology (CPPP) journal is moving to a new publisher. As of January 1, 2025, CPPP will be published by Sage Publishing.
With our APA Publishing contract ending at the end of 2024, Society of Pediatric Psychology (SPP) leadership developed a task force to review CPPP’s performance and determine priorities for the upcoming years. Priorities include expanding article submissions, diversifying authors, growing our subscription base, increasing the journal’s Impact Factor, obtaining assistance in applying for and gaining Medline acceptance, and procuring a better financial structure.
Based on its findings, the decision was made to look at potential alternate publishers. After presentations and contract negotiations, the task force determined that Sage Publishing best met the current and future needs of CPPP.
The transition has been smooth and will be completed this month. As SPP members, you will not see any changes outside of a slightly different online look.
We are excited to work with an organization that is solely focused on journal publishing, will work to elevate the science of pediatric psychology, and will provide us with exceptional member and editorial support.
We want to thank APA Publishing for helping to start CPPP and grow it over the years. We would also like to thank the CPPP Publisher Search Task Force for their dedication and work over the last 18 months:
