Lori E. Crosby, PsyD serves as the Lead for the Cincinnati Center for Clinical and Translational Science and Training Community Engagement Core. She is also a tenured Professor of Pediatrics and a Psychologist at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, where she co-directs Innovations in Community Research.
Dr. Crosby earned her undergraduate degree from Ohio Dominican College (Now Ohio Dominican University) and her PsyD from Wright State University. She completed her internship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and fellowship at Interact for Health in Columbus, Ohio. An elected Fellow of APA and an active member of SPP for over 25 years, Dr. Crosby has made significant contributions to research, clinical care, training/mentoring, and leadership development. In 2018, she received the Division 54 award for her contributions related to addressing health disparities. She has more than 125 publications and sustained funding from NIH, HRSA, PCORI and other societies and foundations. Dr. Crosby has mentored many students, trainees, and junior and mid-career faculty members throughout her career.
She has served as member on SPP committees  and has been a member of the editorial board for Clinical Practice in Pediatric Psychology. Currently, she participates in several SIGS and remains a strong advocate of community engagement within SPP. Dr. Crosby was also the recipient of an SPP award to train psychologists in cultural humility. She is honored to serve as president and to lead efforts that strengthen and advance pediatric psychology.
