Journal of Clinical Practice in Pediatric Psychology ( CPPP ) is entering its third year and continues to grow. This year, we hope to have a greater focus on quality improvement (QI) efforts, as QI is an effective tool for evaluating and showing the value for the work we do. Look for an upcoming article, “Publishing Quality Improvement Work in Clinical Practice in Pediatric Psychology: The ‘Why’ and ‘How To,’” authored by Associate Editor Jennifer Schurman, PhD, for guidance on publishing such papers.

We also are planning a special issue on sleep with Guest Editor Lisa Meltzer, PhD. This special issue will be partnered with related special issues in Journal of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, Journal of Pediatric Psychology and Clinical Practice in Pediatric Psychology. Interested authors should submit a letter of intent by April 1, 2015. This letter of intent should include a 300-word (or less) summary of the thrust of the expected submission. Manuscripts will be due Aug.1, 2015.

In addition, look for our special issue on training competencies with Guest Editor Tonya Palermo, PhD. We received much interest for this issue that will be published later this year. Articles focus on clinical applications of specific training competencies. Finally, we continue to welcome articles focusing on cost effectiveness of our services, integrated care efforts both in primary and specialty care clinics, and application of evidence based treatments in clinical settings and/or with diverse populations.

APA continues to publicize CPPP through Facebook, email blasts and more. They continue to express much enthusiasm for the journal. As always, I would like thank the associate editors and our enthusiastic editorial board and reviewers.
