We anticipate a competitive application process! Any mid- or late- career SPP member is welcome to apply. This program is limited to only 20 participants. A scholarship process will be available to apply for financial support for attendance.

More about LEAP

LEAP is a virtual two-day conference scheduled for January 30-31, 2025. The primary focus of this professional development opportunity is leadership and management skill development.

LEAP’s objective is to prepare pediatric psychologists for leadership roles in the workplace, building skills and creating pathways for pediatric psychologists to achieve higher leadership level roles in healthcare settings.

Each speaker will incorporate diversity, equity, and/or inclusion into their presentation and include active learning activities to enhance retention of new knowledge and practice skills. Speakers will be nationally known and/or from our late career membership, based on areas of leadership expertise.

Both a pre- and post- workshop will be held. Before LEAP, participants will have the opportunity to get to know each other, level-set expectations, and highlight the purpose/objectives and agenda. Post-LEAP, the group will gather to debrief and discuss ongoing support of the cohort.
