APA-2021

APA CONVENTION 2021

By Jason Boye, Ph.D.

Have you submitted your Division 54 proposal for APA 2021 yet? The deadline is coming! Tuesday, January 12, is your last chance to submit a division program proposal.

If you’re a subject matter expert with new research or applications to share and a speaker who can connect with an online audience, we invite you to submit a proposal for a skill-building session, data blitz, symposia, discussion, or poster.

We encourage submissions having to do with our division's theme: “Diversity in Pediatric Psychology: Roles Attained, Patients Served, and Training Approaches Applied.”

  1. Unique roles that pediatric psychologists play in healthcare including, but not limited to, wellness, faculty affairs, faculty development, medical education, interprofessional education, consultation, research leadership roles, and service line or clinical directorships. We are interested in both how these roles were attained as well as how the role impacted the particular health care setting, specifically on the impact of clinical service, training, administrative service, and/or research.

  2. We continue to be interested in issues of diversity and disparities, both in research and in providing culturally sensitive care to diverse and/or underserved populations as well as system level issues impacting the health and healthcare of diverse and underserved populations.

  3. As a society that highly values students and training, we are interested in proposals that address diverse and innovative training approaches and preparing the new workforce. Both supervisors and trainees are encouraged to submit proposals addressing this area.

Please remember that APA 2021 division programming will be virtual and pre-recorded.
