New SPP Student Advisory Board Members

 

MaryJane Campbell / University of Utah

Research Interests: Family functioning, caregiver burden in pediatric chronic illness, family-based interventions.

Andrea Fidler / University of Florida

Research Interests: Psychosocial aspects of childhood chronic illnesses, particularly sleep disturbances during pediatric hospitalizations and the role of sleep in disease processes.

Anjana Jagpal / DePaul University

Research Interests: Understanding the intersection between youth with chronic illnesses and trauma; developing culturally informed interventions specifically tailored toward this population with hopes of reaching children underserved by psychological resources; understanding the impact culture has on the presentation, coping, and management of chronic illness.

Kelly Rea / University of Georgia

Research Interests: The importance of adherence and transition readiness among pediatric solid organ transplant recipients; understanding the predictors and risk factors for non-adherence and poor transition outcomes utilizing a broad systems perspective (e.g., psychosocial, familial, systemic factors that may impact outcomes).

Research Interests: Youth psychosocial adjustment to chronic illnesses, illness appraisals, inflammatory bowel disease, differences/disorders of sex development.
