The Society of Pediatric Psychology Complementary and Integrative Medicine (CIM) SIG provides a forum for communication and discussion about the role of CIM as it relates to advancing the health and well-being of pediatric populations.

In addition to our efforts to improve the quality of care we provide as consultation-liason psychologists, the SIG promotes discussion, education, research, and networking.

The DSD SIG is interested in (a) promoting awareness of the needs of youth with DSD and their families, (b) developing expert and consensus-driven best practice models of pediatric interdisciplinary care, (c) integrating cultural competence into care models, (d) providing a venue for information-sharing regarding ethical issues and diagnosis-specific factors impacting care, and within the larger umbrella of DSD conditions (e) identifying high priority areas for research and supporting cross-site collaborations, and (f) developing pediatric psychology training opportunities to ensure access to competent psychological care for this population.

The Digital Health SIG provides a forum for members of the Society of Pediatric Psychology to share and learn about the development, evaluation, dissemination/implementation of pediatric health tools delivered via digital platforms (e.g., text messages, apps, wearable devices).

The Society of Pediatric Psychology (SPP) is committed to promoting diversity in pediatric psychology research and clinical care, to increasing the number of SPP members from diverse backgrounds, and to providing services and resources for SPP members who are members of underrepresented groups.

The mission of this SIG is to facilitate the study and discussion of psychosocial aspects of pediatric gastroenterological conditions; develop collaborative relationships among practitioners who carry out psychological interventions with pediatric GI populations, and educate clinical professionals about the psychosocial issues which may affect the child or adolescent with a gastroenterological condition.

The purpose of the Integrated Primary Care SIG will be to create a network of professionals to highlight the work and growing nature of pediatric psychologists caring for children in pediatric primary care and integrated health care settings.

Kidney disease, dialysis, and related conditions and comorbidities have a significant impact on psychosocial well-being and functioning. This SIG strives to create a community for SPP members who conduct clinical work and research focused on patients with chronic kidney disease, lupus, and renal hypertension, as well as comorbid conditions and populations (e.g., urology and/or rheumatology).

We provide education, training and mentoring of psychologists in the care of overweight/obese youth and advocacy for public policy.

Pediatric pain is a common condition of childhood/adolescence. As such, many pediatric psychologists research and provide clinical care in this area. Specialized programs are typically interdisciplinary. The Pain SIG provides a forum for communication and discussion about the many developments in the field.

The Palliative Care and End-of-Life Special Interest Group (SIG) promotes the interests of students, trainees, and professionals in pediatric psychology with clinical, research, education, and advocacy interests in pediatric palliative care (PPC), end-of-life care, and grief. We seek to facilitate cross-institutional communication for support and networking, promote integration of psychology into palliative care, and offer specialized learning opportunities within palliative care and end-of-life.

This SIG seeks to promote high-quality statistics practices within our Society.

A newly developed SIG hoping to facilitate communication and collaboration between pediatric psychologists with a specific interest in rehabilitation medicine.

This SIG strives to synthesize knowledge across Sports Medicine and Orthopedics. We have a focus on children and adolescent athletes, as well those with congenital or injury-related conditions involving orthopedic procedures (e.g., scoliosis or amputation).

The goal of this SIG offer a space for psychologists and others to discuss screening and treatment options available to parents while their child is in the neonatal intensive unit.
